Intel corporation (commonly known and stylized as intel) is an american multinational technology corporation founded in 1968 in California, US. Intel is the world’s second largest and second highest valued semiconductor chip makers. They invented the x86 series of microprocessors, which is found in most personal computers.

intel makes processors for computer manufactures such as Lenovo, Apple, HP and Dell. They also manufacture network interface controllers, motherboard chipsets, flash memory, graphics chips, integrated circuits and other devices and products related to communications and computing.

Integrated electronics

The company name is a portmanteau of the words “integrated” and “electronics”. The fact that the company name is also a term for intelligence information makes the name even more suitable.

intel created the world’s first microprocessor chip in 1971, but it was not until the success of PC’s that microprocessor chips became their primary business.

Among their biggest competitors there is tech giants such as Microsoft, AMD and Google, but the biggest rival is Samsung.
