Brocade are frontrunners in storage networking. They specialize in data and storage networking products. Among their product range they also offer routers and network switches for data centers and carrier environments.
In 2016 Broadcom Ltd. acquired Brocade Communications Systems Inc. for about $5.5 billion. Broadcom Ltd. is a leading designer, developer and global supplier of digital and analog semiconductor connectivity solutions. Their product portfolio includes equipment for telecommunication, data center networking, base stations, data center servers and storage, alternative energy systems and electronic displays.
