In 2015 Hewlett-Packard Company split their company in two founding HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (commonly known as HPE). HP Inc. was formed out of the personal computer and printer division of the original company. HPE is a business-focused company with two divisions. Enterprise Group, which works in servers, networking, storage, consulting and support, and Financial Services.

Products from both HP Inc. and HPE are commonly addressed simply as “hp”. It can be a bit confusing for some, especially for those who does not work in this business, but as long as you are aware of the split of product groups the semantics does not matter.

hp is an american multinational information technology company with headquarter in Palo Alto, California, US. They were founded in 1939 making them one of the oldest tech companies in the world.
